Notice of Upcoming Painting Workshops:
I am presently planning a few plein air workshops I will offer during the Sumer and Fall of 2012.
Details will be announced in early May. I have at least two in mind. If you are interested in one of these outdoor classes please let me know by email and I will place you on the notification list.
July:
Essential Plein Air Techniques (3-day)
When: July, 2012
Three days - Fri/Sat/Sun
Where: Umpqua Valley, Oregon
This workshop is for anyone interested in learning how to paint en plein air using a time-honored alla prima technique. (Alla prima means working wet-into-wet to complete a work within a single session.) Some experience with oil will be helpful but not required. If you have experience with another media then your skills should transfer to the media we will use in this workshop.
Registration for this workshop will open in May.

When: August, 2012
Three days - M/T/W/Th/Fr
Where: Portland, Oregon
This too will be a workshop for anyone interested in learning how to paint en plein air using a time-honored alla prima technique. The difference between this workshop and the one being offered in July is essentially the location, and two additional days working with the instructor, and a few more advanced concepts. Some experience with oil will be helpful but not required. If you have experience with another media then your skills should transfer to the media we will use in this workshop.
