A Funny Quote...

Hey All:

I stumbled across an amusing quote today while having breakfast with some of my painting friends. It comes out of a book by a noteworthy Pacific Northwest plein air painter who passed away in 2010. Sadly, I never got a chance to meet him.

"The toughest part of being mediocre is that there is so much competition, so reach a little higher."

 – William F. Reese

Here is William's website and a few of his paintings that feel true to the world I grew up in...

"Nason Ridge"
32 x 26 inches

"Sunday Morning"
10 x 12 inches

"Dance of the Dragons"
Alaskan Northern Lights
12 x 16 inches

"Aspen Stand"
12 x 16 inches

I bet William was one cool guy…
