I want to announce to everyone I am teaching another 1-day oil painting workshop here in Portland, Oregon this month. The last one was such a success the sponsors want me to do it again. This will be a hands-on workshop, not just a talk and demo! In this six-hour class you will learn how different grounds can affect the paint you put on top, how to work from thin-to-thick and dark-to-light, and the best technique for creating a long-lived work of art. This workshop will provide Gamblin oil paints for your use and additional art materials as well. If you've ever wondered how to craft an oil painting from start to finish then this is the class for you!

Thomas Jefferson Kitts has over 25 years of experience of both painting and teaching. Widely known for his plein air work, Thomas also paints the figure and still life from direct observation. This past summer, Thomas was juried into five prestigious plein air invitationals, and taught a week-long plein air workshop in the Portland area.
